You Are the Night

Irgendwann nahmen wir uns wieder einen alten 5PM-Track vor: You Are the Night.
Wir mochten den Song schon immer – aber etwas fehlte. Also krempelten wir die musikalischen Ärmel hoch und legten los.

Die Produktion war schnell abgeschlossen – in weniger als einem Monat. Doch natürlich brauchten wir eine Videoidee.
Mekke hatte sofort die Pestmaske aus Italien im Kopf und eine gewisse Dépeche-Mode-Stimmung vor Augen.
Also gingen wir in den Wald, suchten nach Ästen, die wie Finger aussehen – der Rest entstand mit Zeitungspapier und Farbe.

Und das Monster war geboren. Gespielt von Panda – mit Greenscreen und Maske eine echte Herausforderung.

At some point, we returned to an old 5PM track: You Are the Night.
We’d always liked the song – but something was missing. So we rolled up our musical sleeves and got to work.

The track came together quickly – completed in less than a month. But of course, we needed a video concept.
Mekke immediately envisioned the Italian plague mask with a Dépeche Mode-inspired aesthetic.
We went into the forest to find branches that resembled fingers – the rest was crafted from newspaper and paint.

And so the monster was born. Performed by Panda – a real challenge with greenscreen and mask.

En algún momento retomamos una antigua canción de 5PM: You Are the Night.
Siempre nos gustó el tema – pero le faltaba algo. Así que nos arremangamos musicalmente y nos pusimos manos a la obra.

La producción fue rápida – terminada en menos de un mes. Pero, por supuesto, necesitábamos una idea para el vídeo.
Mekke visualizó de inmediato la máscara de peste italiana con un toque inspirado en Dépeche Mode.
Fuimos al bosque a buscar ramas que parecieran dedos – el resto lo hicimos con papel de periódico y pintura.

Así nació el monstruo. Interpretado por Panda – un verdadero reto con pantalla verde y máscara.
